Rabbi Moshe Parnes

Rabbi Moshe B. Parnes was born in NY to a well-known Rabbinic family. He spent many years in Jerusalem where he was a close disciple of some of Israel?s most respected Rabbis. He received Rabbinic ordination from Rabbi Moshe Halberstam, Chief Justice of the Jerusalem Rabbinic Court, Rabbi Nochum Yitzckok Frank, renowned Rabbi in Jerusalem, Rabbi Yitzchok Kolitz, Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem and others.

In addition, Rabbi Parnes studied under such luminaries as Rabbi Abba Berman, prominent Rosh Yeshiva and author of Shiurei Eeyun Hatalmud, Rabbi Shlomo Wolbe, revered Moshgiach and author of Alei Shur and Rabbi Benzion Bruk, Rosh Yeshiva of Novharadok in Jerusalem. Rabbi Parnes has held pulpits in Dayton, Ohio and Atlanta, Georgia. He was the Dean of the Dayton Community Kollel and a member of the Atlanta Scholars Kollel. He was a founding member of the Beis Din of Atlanta and involved in establishing such essential community institutions as the mikva and eruv in Dayton and Atlanta.

Rabbi Parnes? expertise is in Talmud, halacha ? practical Jewish law, history and Jewish philosophy. Rabbi Parnes is long-time practicing mohel, having received instruction and training in Israel. He is married to Naama Tendler of Los Angeles, daughter of a prominent Rabbinic family.
